📣 ISIP - International Students of Islamic Psychology invites you to our ISIP Oceania Melbourne In-Person Event Enriching Journey into Islamic Psychology with International Experts in partnership with Muslim Mental Health Professionals.
🎤 Dr Professor Suleyman Derin is a native of Istanbul Turkey, graduated from the Faculty of Theology and completed his PhD at Leeds University, UK. His thesis was titled "Towards Some Paradise on the Sufi Conception of Love: From Ràbia to Ibn al-Fârid". Since then, he has been teaching in Marmara University, the Faculty of Theology, in Istanbul. Currently, he is a full time professor in Marmara University. Dr Derin has authored several books and articles in the field of Sufism. His research interests focus on Sufi Psychology and he hosts a radio program titled "Sufism and Psychology". Some of his articles include; "The Self and the Other in Ibn Arabi and Rumi" and "Spiritual Psychology and Al Ghazali". He is also a board member of International Students of Islamic Psychology (ISIP).
🎤 Seyed Jamaluddin Miri is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of ISIP - International Students of Islamic Psychology and co-founder of the Futuwwah Academy of Sacred Arts, Rafeeq Counselling, Al-Balkhi Institute of Islamic Psychological Studies and Research, Amal'ul Jamal Academy of Sacred Arts & Shifaa Institute.
He is a licensed counsellor from Sweden, with a Post Graduate Diploma in Islamic Psychology from the CMC - Cambridge Muslim College (UK). He is also an IAIP certified Islamic Psychology practitioner, and has ijazah/certification in practicing Traditional Islamically Integrated Psychotherapy from the Ibn Haldun University/Khalil Center (Türkiye/US)

📣 ISIP-International Students of Islamic Psychology together with Al-Balkhi Institute of Islamic Psychological Studies and Research and the Maqasid Institute are excited to invite you to attend our next international lecture which is the start of the IPRN - Islamic Psychology Research Network Lecture Series
The IPRN is a collaborative project between our three organizations where the aims are to promote, value and focus divine guidance in the field of psychology. Participants who attend all five of the lecture series and complete the assigned reflections within the deadlines will receive a 📜 Certificate of Completion!
In this five-part series, participants will be able to learn from the Maqasid Institute and Al-Balkhi Institute scholars by attending live, and asking questions, or continue to benefit from the recordings as well. In this IPRN Series, participants will gain an introduction to some of the concepts in the Maqasid Methodology, some focused research skills and some insights with how these concepts can be applied within psychology and psychological research.
Title of Part 3: "Research Focus: How to conduct Research with a Maqasid Perspective?" 🗣Dr. Ildus Rafikov (Turkiye) is the Deputy Executive Director and the Director of Research at Maqasid Institute. He holds a PhD from ISTAC/IIUM in Philosophy, Ethics and Contemporary issues, Chartered Professional Certificate in Islamic banking and finance from the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF), Malaysia. Dr. Ildus Rafikov was the founding managing director of IKI Academy, where he is currently teaching Methodology of Research, Islamic Epistemology, Islamic Economics & Finance in both English and Russian languages.
